Become A Volunteer

The Tour di via Italia returns on Sunday, September 4th, 2016! This exciting sporting event, first held in 1958, has become a tradition in Windsor’s “Little Italy” and serves as a premier racing event for over 200 competitive cyclists from across Canada and the United States. Thousands of visitors and cycling fans will line the streets to watch elite cyclists battle for a place at the top of the leader board.
To ensure this race reaches its full potential it is necessary to have the help of over 40-50 volunteers to execute this years’ event. The Tour di via Italia would love your help on race day!
Each volunteer will receive a Volunteer Commemorative “Tour di via Italia” T-shirt, Lunch (sandwich, beverage), Pizza dinner.
Volunteers are eligible for a cash honorarium for their help during Tour di Via Italia 2016.

- Set Up of fencing, road barricades and banners the morning to the race

- Assignment to specifically, strategically placed points along the course in 3-hour increments to provide supervision preventing cars, ebikes, walkers from entering the course
